I asked her what bitterness might have caused her to disparage anyone to the left of Dick Cheney. She replied that she considered her style "commonsensical." Now what the hell does that mean? A complete lack of documentation? Self-righteousness and hate for all? I deleted the e-mail. It made me feel much better. I e-mailed Kersten once, after reading one of her more poisonous columns.
